Att studenter upplever oro och stress över både studieliv och det kommande arbetslivet har blivit vanligare visar nya rapporter. Under våren 2019 bjöd IVAs Studentråd in till workshopar för att samtala om lösningar på problematiken.

Namntung urvalskommitté till IVAs 100-lista för hållbar krisberedskap

Ansökan till IVAs tredje 100-lista, som uppmärksammar aktuell forskning med potential att utvecklas till innovationer, affärsutveckling eller annan nytta, är öppen och årets urvalskommitté står redo att ta sig an bidragen. Urvalskommittén består av drygt 40 kvalificerade personer ur IVAs breda nätverk av representanter från akademi, näringsliv och offentlig verksamhet.

IVA-lag bidrar till lösning på FNs hållbarhetsmål

Under hösten 2022 deltog IVA i tävlingen Hack for Earth, ett globalt hackathon som syftar till att hitta lösningar på FNs 17 hållbarhetsmål och som utförs med stöd av FN och den svenska paviljongen på Expo2020 i Dubai.

Energisystemet i Europa behöver förändras i grunden för att nå klimatmål

Det finns flera framkomliga vägar mot en koldioxidneutral framtid, och det är möjligt att uppnå den till 2050. Men det kräver omedelbara insatser. Det är budskapet från europeiska vetenskapsakademier, däribland Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien (IVA), som fått i uppdrag av EU-kommissionen att ge råd om energiomställningen i Europa.

Royal Technology Mission to the Netherlands

Last week, the 2024 Royal Technology Mission (RTM) to the Netherlands was carried out. The delegation, led by HM The King and IVA's Chair Marcus Wallenberg, consisted of leading representatives from academia, business and the public sector in Sweden. The focus of the trip was AI, quantum technology and cybersecurity.

Astronaut Marcus Wandt, one of this year's Thulin medallists

The Aviation and Aerospace Engineering Association (FTF) and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) have awarded this year's Thulin Gold Medal to Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt. Engineers Daniel Eckerström and Roy Kihlén are awarded silver medals for their efforts in the development of fiber optic temperature measurement systems, which have contributed to increasing safety in civil aviation.
