IVA project expands collaboration between South Korea and Sweden

On 19-20 April, the 2023 Korea-Sweden R2B Forum will be held in South Korea's capital Seoul, a brand new meeting place for the utilisation and commercialisation of research in collaboration between Sweden's and South Korea's innovation systems. The concept is inspired by IVA's Research2Business initiative and IVA's 100 list, and IVA participates as a partner in the forum.

IVA Fellow Anne L'Huillier awarded Nobel Prize

IVA Fellow Anne L'Huillier is awarded this year's Nobel Prize in Physics “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter”. IVAs Guldmedalj 2020 - Åsa Bergman

Kanske var det en tillfällighet att Sweco flyttade in när Svenska Dagbladet flyttade ut ur sitt höghus i Marieberg i Stockholm. Men byggnaden är ju ritad av den kände arkitekten, Anders Tengbom. Och även om Sweco:s ursprung kan spåras till slutet av 1800-talet, så blev Sweco till med startpunkt just i ett arkitektkontor. Konsultkoncernens verksamhet är sedan länge både bredare och mycket, mycket större.

Tekniksprånget ger allt fler ingenjörer

Tekniksprånget får fler unga att välja ingenjörsutbildningar, det visar en ny uppföljning som Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien (IVA) gjort med data från SCB. Efter genomförd praktik väljer 92 procent av praktikanterna att studera vidare. 77 procent av dem väljer högre tekniska studier, varav hälften är kvinnor. Uppföljningen visar också att tidigare praktikanter fullföljer sin ingenjörsutbildning i större utsträckning än andra studenter.

Tekniksprånget ger gymnasieekonomer chans att testa ingenjörsyrket

Med start våren 2024 ger regeringen Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien (IVA) uppdraget att bredda målgruppen för Tekniksprånget. Det betyder att även de som läser ekonomi på gymnasiet nu kan söka praktik som ingenjör.
