The IVA List highlights current research projects within the field of engineering sciences, conducted at Swedish universities and research institutes, that show a clear ambition to be commercialised. The research should be ready to generate impact within the foreseeable future. The application period is open from 4 February to 20 February 2026.

Hans Werthén Foundation — disbursement and reporting

The Hans Werthén Foundation places great importance on receiving a general description of the most important experience gained from periods abroad funded by the scholarship — both in scientific/ scholarly terms and socially. The reports are used by the committee in its work, but also as information for future scholarship holders.

IVA's List for Research Impact 2026

IVA’s List for Research Impact works to strengthen Sweden’s ability to translate academic research in the technical sciences into innovation, societal benefit and competitiveness. The research projects highlighted should have significant potential to contribute to solutions for key societal challenges through commercialisation, new businesses and practical application. The selection is made by a committee comprising representatives from academia, industry and the public sector.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) can appoint someone who has, through their work or in other ways, significantly promoted the academy’s objectives as an honorary fellow. The appointment is proposed by IVA's Presidium.
